A new CEO of the National Cyber Security Centre was announced last week.
The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) appointed Richard Horne on April 19 and he will enter the role in the Autumn of 2024.
He will lead the “UK’s national technical authority for cyber security as it continues in its mission to make the UK the safest place to live and work online,” according to a press release by NCSC.
His role aims to increase cyber resilience, ensure cyber security is at the heart UK’s future technology landscape, which includes AI and quantum computing and to manage the most critical cyber incidents affecting the UK.
