What will change after the King’s Speech?
It is known that “Cyber security legislation has not been updated since 2018 and has failed to keep pace with the rapidly changing technological abilities of hostile states and actors, as well as dating from before the UK left the European Union”, sources for inews.co.uk said.
The new legislation claims to help the new Labour government to tighten loopholes in the current cybersecurity policy.
The King’s Speech is expected to mention legislation on AI, although it is yet to be confirmed whether there will be a new law in the first round of the legislative agenda of Sir Keir Starmer’s government.
